Anyone from New York understands how important music is to the city — the block parties, the nightlife, the dude on your block who blasts his speaker every day after 6 pm. Music is important to all of New York’s public spaces. It’s how we’re comfortably surrounded by people you don’t know at parks, at clubs, in our neighborhoods.
DJs are what keep us together. They create the atmosphere, and the bridge between us. DJs get a bad rap, especially the amateur ones. We want to celebrate them and what they do for our city
